Dear all,

In Account Receivables Parameters, Update tab, Invoice column there, I have selected Delete order after invoicing. After i posting Invoice for the SO, the SO does not appear in Sales Order Details anymore. Is there any way to retrieve the SO deleted in this way since I can't find the record in Sales Table Delete & Sales Line Delete table?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Lieu

If you don't want AX to have the sales order deleted, you should not set up Ax to delete the sales order.

These orders can be viewed from

AR -> Inquiries -> History -> Voided sales order or AP -> Inquiries -> History -> Voided Sales order.

AP -> Inquiries -> History -> Voided sales order or AP -> Inquiries -> History -> Voided Purchase order

You can write code to recover the data from here- Sumit Loya had a post with suggested code for this some time back

But the code is faulty and doesnt work, i have seen it work in ax2009, but in 2012 what parameter would you have to turn for the deleted lines and table to appear in the saleslinedelete and salestabledelete to even track it? I know dont have users delete order but not all customers want to lose the ability to delete. Always need a work around for such things.

The path where you can find the voided sales orders is: Sales and Marketing / Inquries / History / Voided sales orders.

You need to enable the parameter Accounts receivable / Setup / Accounts receivable parameters / General / Sales / Setup / Mark orders as voided in order to capture the deleted sales orders.

Is there an option for purchase orders? For deleted purchase order lines and orders?

I don't see anything like that...

There is purchase order history, but I don't think that covers deleted orders.

You can no longer delete approved purchase requisitions that you do not have to store in your production system. This is because of the budget control and pre-encumbrances on purchase requisitions that are introduced in this version. To archive or purge the records for approved purchase requisitions, you must use the IDMF.

For more information, see Overview of the Microsoft Dynamics AX Intelligent Data Management Framework (IDMF).
