Does AX offer smartlist or something similar?

I have used Microsoft GP 10.0 in the past and loved the smartlist function. My company is using AX, but no one seems to know if this is available in AX as well.  If it is available, it is considered an add-on?

    I don't exactly know what smartlist is but...

    You can create filter on a list and add to favourites.

    I have used both AX and GP, and I agree Smartlists are a great tool in GP, sadly with no equivalent in AX. The Excel integration lets you define Excel based queries (either with Atlas, or standard Excel integration with AX 2012), but nothing as flexible as GP Smartlists.
