Hello.
I cannot compile several of the system classes, and I would like check if something is missing.
InventDimASPWebControlAdapter::classDeclaration.
Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Portal is not known - I cannot see that package (portal).
BTW - Is there any best practice way to do export/import to a server, where there is one instance of AOS file, but 3 servers pointed to same AOS. Also there are Citrix Servers.
Should I do compilation on any of the three servers?
Should I do compilation on the Citrix side.
Should I shut down Citrix?
Should I import the XPO, when only one AOS server service is up?
Is it best practice to compile with no error & warnings, and what if the compilation doesn't work?
(I have seen strange behaviours, when I do compile forwords, restarting the AOSs, and nevertheless - the users get exceptions, so I needed compile several objects manually).
etc ...
Thanks :)
It seems that EP development tools are not installed on your machine.
The best practice is to stop all AOS servers and replace the layer(s). If you replace just a single layer, you have to recompile the whole application, but you can also deliver all, already compiled layers.
No need to shutdown Citrix.
Compilation errors and warnings should be resolved, of course. If compilation fails, you should return the version back to development.
