Back port label 'files' from AX 2012 R2 to 2012?

Hi,

we need to implement Lithuanian language in our brand new deployment of AX 2012.

Is it possible to backport the label file from AX 2012 R2?

(If the option for the user to select Lithuanian as their preferred language is not available in AX 2012, we could possibly use a different language instead, e.g. French)

Suggested Answer

You can export label files directly from the AOT. The export will create a label file you can edit in any text editor.

When you are ready to import the file, you can import any label file in the AOT.

Is there any reason that this wouldn't work between R2 and R1 with a 'new' langauge?

Not sure I understand what you mean by not working. I don't believe there are any breaking changes to how labels are stored and described between RTM and R2.

What exactly are you trying to do, and how is it failing?
