I've been experiencing the same issue. I don't think Excel is properly supported in CU7. I never got it to work. I recommend using csv files instead.

Thanks Tommy for your reply.

But DIEF cu7 doesn't support CSV file...

Actually it DOES support CSV files. You have to create a Source data format with Type file. Using the fields in the Field group File you can setup how your CSV file is formatted.

Hi,

When do you exaclty get this error? Check the format of your file and the settings of the source data format. Did you use the right Code page (source data format setting).

Please provide more information.

Hello NIRVANA115!

Please find a candidate solution described on my blog here: ax2012dmfdataimport.blogspot.com/.../dynamics-ax-2012-dixf-issues-and.html

in order to work with native Excel files I DIXF

The problem may occur in case you have 32-bit Microsoft Office installed on 64-bit machine (OS)

For example, this exactly the case with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Demo VM

In order to resolve this issue you can install 64-bit Microsoft Excel Driver as described in my blog

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

/Alex
