Automatic notification of Hot Fixes, Service Packs and Rollups

This question has suggested answer(s)

I would like to be automatically notified when Microsoft releases a new Hot Fix, Service Pack, or Roll up (for Dynamics AX).... Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, where the "alerts" can be set up?

  • Hi Gina

In Partnersource you have a Voice option at the top. In the left hand menu you then have "insights". You then choose the options within here. I believe this is the way you sign up, but there maybe others.

  • On MBS Russia web-site list of updates with RSS exists (on russian language):

    www.microsoft.com/.../updates.mspx

  • Gina,

I would recommend subscribing to the CustomerSource "Downloads and Updates" RSS feed. This will keep you up to date around any changes in the product line. I hope this helps.

Repo steps> Log in to CustomerSource> click the RSS option on the Downloads and Updates bucket> Copy the RSS feed and put it in your RSS folder in Outlook.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Nick, I log onto Customer Source, and move my cursor over the Download and Updates menu option, and I get a popup with four entries, none of which are related to RSS.  If I click and go to the Download and Updates page, there's also no RSS option there.  Has it moved or been removed? If it still exists, do you have new instructions on how to get there?

  • Hi Bob,

RSS link is on the Customer Source Home-Page,
The subscribe to RSS link is located at the right edge in the panel "Downloads & Updates - All Products"
    BTW RSS Link: https://mbs.microsoft.com/downloads/public/rss/375.xml?rp=62
Use this RSS link as suggested by Nick

Thanks Nick for this cool tip

  • With that help I found it. Thanks.
