Hi,

We have a client where the capitalised asset has the wrong depreciation rate in AX. How do we post the accumulated depreciation for the asset at the new depreciation rate?

    Hi

    We  have capitalized the accumulated depriciation by using an asset journal, then select there in the transaction type depriciation and post it against an error account. Do not forget to set the remaining depreciation periodes to the right value. Further we noted, If you depreciate on a monthly basis, check if AX calculates correctly. It is possible, that AX calculates in the activation year the depreciation for the whole year.
