Suppose for an item ,the quality order was created. After checking, the result of quality order(test) is failed. If we need to have rework, how and where we would define this rework process in dynamics?
Purchase or Production source for quality test? Production just add to the order if not closed, or, as for purchase, load a new production order segregation by production pook etc. Failing that you can use the quality functionality and raise and process non-conformance orders.
Our case of Quality order is about a Production not a purchase.
Suppose that we test 10 units of item (before "Ending" the production process) with a quality order and we find out that 3 of them have non-comformance.
We don't want to waste our material and so that we don't wanna throw our failed production to the garbages. We wanna return the failed product to the start point of production line(so we don't wanna use extra amount of raw materials for production)
How do u do that?
1. Go to the current production order and add to theroute card and picking list - do you want to schedule this etc.?
2. Raise a new production order, create a BOM and add the product itself, then add rework parts and routes.
If we track the re-work through non conformance, can we load the cost of processing non-conformance to the actual production order ?
Yes you can add another route card journal for the labour costs, if any parts are needed this can be a new pick list journal. Your only issue will be if you have ended the works order depending upon the start of the non-conformance.
I've been looking for "Rework" process in the discrete industry especially in AX. Since AX 2.5 to 2012 version, why Microsoft didn’t consider a potential requirement which is required every discrete industry.
I face through below requirement mapping:
1.In case of quality rejects after production process and it needs be redirect back Reworking process. If you use same production order and adding additional material is one way. If you create a new production order and adding lines in the ProdBOM which will give you variance and which is not a good practice.\
2.Once sold Finished goods and after while return back from customer for some defect, there is no standard process for rework.
Please guys advise me, if you have any better way handling this process without customization.
