  • Hi Nikhil Bhandari,

for functional side: start from this blog www.dynamicsaxtraining.com/trade-and-logistics-training .

dynamicsaxtraining gives good intro to trade & logistics, production modules. most of the training materials are free. then later read the "A Guide to Microsoft Axapta. 2005 - L.Mourгo, D.Weiner - APRESS ". its also bit old, but a good one.

for technical side: first read " MORPHX IT - An Introduction to Axapta X++ - Steen Andreasen " book, it was released in 2006 for version 4.0 but still its the good one for X++ language. This book also free.

    Happy Journey !

  • Dear brother,

It's a good step to move in Dynamics AX from NAV. You just need to study the modules in which you are intrested and start to read MS Dynamics AX cookbook for the development. By this, it will give you initial start but to move in as a professional in the market. You should join some partner or customer where you can easily find the challenges related to the same.

I hope this will help you in your decision.

  • Hi Ahmed and vasanthraja,

Thanks for your reply....I have collected enoghf material for reading and learning AX, however learning from pdf's or online materials is just a first step. can you let me know after aquiring sufficient knowledge of ax how can I approach to partner company fo position which is for ax? or to get hired as Nav consultant and internally get shift to ax?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

If you find this step "You should join some partner or customer where you can easily find the challenges related to the same." is difficult. Try to pass all certifications.  At least get 2 MCP's ( minimum you need 6 certification for this). Then apply for a X++ developer position.  hopefully you can get a one.
