Convergence offers an array of different forums for learning to suit most every person and every learning style. From keynotes to product specific sessions and hands on labs. One of the best forums for learning is in the Convergence Expo. The Expo is home to hundreds of vendors who have solutions tailored for the Dynamics ERP or CRM market. Sure, you will run across a sales pitch or two, but if you plan well, this can be a great source of ideas and contacts for you and your company.
Before you get started, think through areas in your business who have not been able to take advantage of the Dynamics software or where there are candidates for additional improvements. Target four or five key challenges from your list with the vendors in the Expo. Now it will be in a huge room, so pick up a guide book to help you navigate the aisles software, hardware, and freebies. The guide book will also give you some insight into what each partner does and with which Dynamics products they work. Target the ones that seem to be a good fit to help you help your company.
The Expo also offers a great time to just walk around and see what products are available. Look for solutions that are geared for your business or industry. Identify products that you may not need today, but you can see where they will be helpful in the future. Stop by the Microsoft area in the Community and Learning Center and ask questions, or see first-hand new products or versions that may be available.
Finally, while you are there, look to see if your Dynamics partner is in the Expo. This is a great time to re-connect with them, discuss new products and services available, and see when they are going to buy you dinner!
There truly is a world of opportunity at Convergence. Register now as the early registration deadline expires this coming Monday, February 21st!
