As we announce the upcoming availability of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the launch of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, and the amazing response we've seen from midsized businesses and partners.  Since its initial launch, we've reached more than 70,000 customers, partners and interested organizations through various events around the United States, Canada, U.K. and Latam.  We've also recently added more new customers in one quarter, than any previous quarter in the history of the solution.  In addition to Primo Water, which was featured in the press release, customers such as the Central YMCA of London and Dorset Software have experienced tremendous value from implementing Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010.  For example, the Central YMCA of London replaced Sage Line 200 with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and improved the efficiency of its core accounting processes by as much as 90 percent.

With Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2, we're taking the business insights enhancements a step further, by delivering contextual BI right to the user, from their own RoleTailored dashboard.  By extending the connectivity with the Microsoft Lync instant messaging window, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 brings information about the person you are chatting with and their company to your fingertips.  New Fact Boxes include various charts available preconfigured and customizable to a businesses' favorite charts and key performance indicators.  We have also enhanced the user interface and personalized dashboards to quickly deliver relevant information to the actions a person is taking or the information they are viewing.

Other enhancements offered in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 further the gap between Microsoft and the competion.

  • Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 has more out-of-the-box reporting capabilities than its competitors.  Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 features more than 400 Excel and SRS Reports and 600 Report Writer Reports
  • No other competitor offers business intelligence capabilities in both a light user and the full user via the role-based home page.  NetSuite requires a full user license in order to access its dashboard functionality.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 provides a user friendly form generator using Microsoft Word to pull data directly from Microsoft Dynamics GP to create professionally formatted customer and vendor facing invoices, picking lists, AP documents and more.
  • Users of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2 can initiate sales orders, purchase orders or sales invoices directly from Microsoft Lync.  Competitor solutions simply enable awareness of collaborative presence.
