Hi Mike, I believe in the vision: enhance productivity and that through making things available anywhere, but also context aware, task aware, etc. But still it is a big chunk of work if you look at current code base and architecture in AX ... I believe it really requires more than a vision document, but it must be made concrete to make it happen and developers must understand the concept and drive the concept ... Where we want to enhance productivity on the shopfloor, we should also see how we can enhance the productivity of our own development organization. Looking forward to see and experience execution on the vision ... If executed well, Microsoft has big future in Enterprise Applications market. Warm regards and success! Dick

Mike, This is a great vision indeed and certainly what is needed from software for running dynamic businesses. I hope you can come visit our stand in Convergence Atlanta 2010 to see many of these concepts already implemented in AgileXRM for Dynamics.

i have a question please.... i have these issue with the ax payroll 2009, where am able to generate both earnings and benefit/deductions for each payperiod authomatically or manually but when i generate the payment it does not pick up the salaries assigned to the employees, all thge calculations are correct....somebody help send me a mail adoteybrown@live.com

Been a new comers with CRM 4.0, they are apprehensions taking place. I fell that I never catch up with my job, technology evolve and our company is sky rocketing with business. More customers, more partners, more co-workers/partners, anyway more of a lot. Last year I did push with our company to use CRM 4.0. I'm so happy that it has become a reality, and they are overwhelming with our little new partner (CRM 4.0). Next week it will be ready to go, and we will configure it. Our new website: museumtickets.nl is also ready to go and build on 100% Microsoft TOOLS, bit at the time joining the Microsoft family Software’s Club. It's funny I have been working for years with museums and today I got around 400 museums on board to transit from a fragmented way of working to a uniform, economical and efficient way of working, all that on Microsoft Platform. -training for museum professionals At this moment I organize Museum Lunch in Amsterdam, it's going very well, but additional concrete information will be a plus -transition phase From one way of working (individual-fragmented) to a national intranet, CRM, blogs, mass licenses, multimedia, public-museums-business (hotels,restaurants,shops) Saving, unity, harmony, HR, PR, ROI, advertizes. Dear Kim, Indeed the Role Tailoring is always a fundamental aspect of software implementation in construction businesses, especially in small to medium sized businesses requiring a phases approach to implementation over 2 or even 3 years! in order to avoid saturation of existing staff and time to find new staff if the new système is out of the competence scope of some key personnel. Will Dynamics NAV provide robust bid estimating tools for the construction business? Will you be interested in discussing this matter and it's implications on contract and company management?

I have to agree. The time spent getting all of the customer facing people on the same page is invaluable. You need time to standardize and document the processes. I love the fact that you can get the software up so fast, but you have to be careful that the client's expectations are more realistic.
