Corporate Performance Management (CPM) is a broad area of finance that is starting to receive a lot of attention in the press, board room and the mindset of the finance community. Much of what has been written so far has been from an academic and/or theoretical perspective rather than from an implementer’s perspective.
I would like to focus on some real life implementation scenarios around CPM and to get insights and feedback from others in the finance community
My first post will focus on implementation of a balanced scorecard (focus on the word “balance”). I would also like to focus on linking strategy to reporting, how metrics and results orientation should impact compensation and on creating definitions and hierarchies of information in a complex environment. But as the community increases and gives feedback, I’ll veer off track to cover those topics most interesting to the community based on this feedback.
Looking forward to meeting everyone in the new community.
