Here is a new blog entry about a feature that comes available thanks to the RDLC we can use in NAV 2009. Called "Document map". A document map is a navigation feature that you know form PDF. The objects for NAV 2009 SP1 of the VAT2010 update are available as from today. As you might have been waiting for this (we haven't .. created our own NAV 2009 objects...), finally they're here. Warning! There is (probably) a bug in the bugfix! Only yesterday there was a new bugfix released on the VAT 2010 update, which I blogged about. Astena (our sister (or we like to call it our brother) company at Cronos) has noticed something unusual in this bugfix. This morning, they noticed that the "Country/Region" check in the "old piece of code" wasn't there in the "new piece of code". There has been found a minor issue with "item ledger entries for EU services that are added to the Intrastat journal lines in Microsoft Dynamics NAV with VAT 2010 Update installed". This week, there were many confusions about the VAT 2010 issue ... apparently people forgot to update the license of the customers. This license update is needed because of the fact new objects were created ... so a new range had to be supported. Quite logical, but not a cat thought of it (as they say in Belgium). You can imagine, upgrading all licenses of your customers might take a while .. especially when you know the EOC online app, and the flow to request the updates. I don't know if you've ever seen a demo of the "Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 Treemap"-addin. No? Here is a screenshot: It's actually another view on the "Customer List". People who have ever seen the Performance Point "TreeMap"? This one is quite the same. It gives you a customer list with the most important customer bigger then less important customers. When you're planning to print reports from the new RDLC layout, things have been changed. One of the things is: how do I print this damn report in landscape?? With the new matrix-report possibilities, one might expect to have too many columns to print it in portrait.
