I agree to your comment somewhat (about this informal positioning) but not entirely. I am sure that it is very difficult for an internal resource (employee I mean) to get accross the idea of moving a corporate to ERP. It is most of the times the top people in an organisation who should be influenced by external forces (marketing done from the outside world) first. Then probably we can expect this internal push to work out far more effectively.

Best Wishes,

My initial comment would be that " you will have to do the alot of "informal positioning/convincing" before (and after) you present at this 15 minute session (that you mention)..

Please feel free to email me,if you have any further questions.

Cheers Sunil

This is an interesting post. However, I wanted to ask you how should one (from inside the organization) approach the Executive Team (ET) and demonstrate a case for ERP when the latter seems the least interested in the subject? In fact the ET would only give some 15 minutes to an internal resource for a topic which would affect the entire enterprise!!! This is kind of wired and from the various post on the ITToolbox forum, it seems that a large number of organizations are facing this same issue.

Rgds

Sunil
