Microsoft Dynamics Connect Beta!

We are excited to announce a new networking application called Microsoft Dynamics Connect Beta for Facebook. With Microsoft Dynamics Connect Beta you can create your own business card to put on your Facebook profile and share it with others. Use it to introduce yourself to potential clients, service providers, subject experts, and partners.  You can even see Microsoft Dynamics Community content right inside the Facebook application.

In addition to the new Facebook application, we are planning on adding features and functionality for Networking in The Dynamics Communities. We want features that provide the most value to you and want to hear what you would like to see next. We have set up a forum discussion to collect your feedback and ideas, please share your ideas here.

One idea we have for enhancing networking opportunities is via working groups. Through the addition of working groups in the Dynamics Communities we aim to enable individuals with similar roles, responsibilities and interests to communicate, collaborate and work together and improve the way they work. We are planning on adding working groups to a future update to the Communities.

Once inside a working group you will be able to add content through postings that are rich text, upload files or videos or post events.  Working group owners will be able to add RSS feeds into the group so it can aggregate data from existing sources.  Of course, you will be able to tag postings, reply to them and rate them so you can find the most important information.  And you don't even need to be in the working group to see the activity as each group provides RSS feeds as well as e-mail subscriptions.

Unable to find an existing working group? Or maybe you are looking for a more private group, no problem; you can create your own. You will be able to set up the working groups you create to be open to anyone or you can mark them as private and send invitations to join.
By bringing together peers and colleagues we hope that we can extend the learning and sharing of ideas that happens at Convergence to flourish throughout the year.
