Today is an exciting day as we are announcing broader availability of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM December 2012 Service Update. Our First Access customers and prospects shared praise for the business value offered as part of this release. New features and capabilities being offered include a modern, simpler, and more intuitive user interface, a new configurable sales and service process control, multiple browser offerings, the ability to take advantage of Office 2013, Bing, and Skype technologies to better realize business productivity scenarios, and more.
This release is now rolling out to our full online customer base encompassing thousands of organizations, and is available for new trials and subscriptions in North America, with APAC/EMEA following shortly. The ability to access Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online through multiple browsers on both Windows and Macintosh devices will be available immediately after the service update is applied. The new sales and service experiences are offered as part of an "opt in" model; a customer can continue to operate Microsoft Dynamics CRM as it stands today, and determine when it's appropriate to take advantage of these new experiences.
After this initial release, customers can look forward to realizing Yammer social scenarios and the iPad sales experience coming in February. Although the December 2012 Service Update is optimized for our online customers, there is also significant value being delivered for our on-premises customers through Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 12. This update includes new capabilities, such as multiple browser support and the bulk data API.
This release marks the beginning of our journey toward a major business transformation. As we push forward, we will expand our Microsoft Dynamics CRM offerings to further realize proactive, productive, ubiquitous, and flexible business scenarios that our customers and partners will love. For further details, see the Microsoft Dynamics CRM website, or try our new product trial to experience the next generation of CRM today.
Bob Stutz Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Dynamics CRM
We use Online and are awaiting this update. Is there a spot to see where our org sits with respect to timing of the update? Our users know it's coming and I'd like to give them some heads up as many are looking forward to using CRM on other browsers.
When can us OnPremise users have the UR12 bits again?
We’re completing our validation of the UR12 Server bits, and expect to announce their availability on the Download Center in the next few days.
Thank you for your patience.
