Hi there,
Having changed a users business unit, and reassigned their accounts to a colleague - the user is still seeing all their old accounts in their new business unit, any ideas how to change that?
By the way - i have ensured the only security roles assigned are i relation to the new business unit and that new business unit should only see own BU accounts

Here is how assigning records work.
Anyone with Assign privileges on a record can assign that record to another user. When a record is assigned, the new user or team becomes the owner of the record and its related records. The original user or team loses ownership of the record, but automatically shares it with the new owner.
In Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the system administrator can decide for an organization whether records should be shared with previous owners or not after the assign operation. If Share with previous owner is selected, then the previous owner shares the record with all access rights after the assign operation. Otherwise, the previous owner does not share the record and may not have access to the record, depending on his or her privileges. The Organization.ShareRoPreviousOwnerOnAssign attribute controls this setting.
You will need to change this setting in CRM.

thanks that answers the question for future reference, however do you know if I can apply it retospectively where I have already reassigned accounts?
since I could not find a way to apply this rule retrospectively, I assigned all accounts back to the original owner/user - then reassigned them to the new owner/user (having ensure the Share records with orignal owner was not enabled)
However the original owner is still seeing them - What am I missing?
hmm. would you do this test. create a new record, assign it to a person in the other business unit and confirm that the old owner can no longer see the original record.
