Customer Relationship dialog box missing in CRM 2011 Online?

I am evaluating moving our company to CRM Online and am using the CRM 2011 trial.

I am trying to create relationships between one customer record and one or more other records. According to the docs (see rc.crm.dynamics.com/.../source_sf_add_relationship_account.htm ) there should be a Customer Relationship dialog box when I go under Details, click Relationships, and then on the Actions toolbar, click New Customer Relationship for an Account.

I do not see any option for Customer Relationship on any details section of any account.

Am I missing something or is this just not an option in the trial?

  • You are looking at some documentation for the previous version (4.0). In the current version (2011) this is now referred to as a "Connection"

    Inside the record, choose Connect from the ribbon on top and then To Me or Another - then chose what to relate the record to and as which role.
