is it normal for the crm 4 e-mail router to generate entries in the security log

    If it is errors, then yes, these are typical errors. This is by default. It is controlled by the LogLevel value in the EmailAgent.xml. I would verify this value is set to 1 and not 3, as 3 is verbose level tracing and will generate many more logs.

    What type of entries is it generating?

    I can see how entries can be generated if you had "Incoming Profiles" configured.
