Hey,
We have a quite specific issue affecting just a few users. Occasionally they will be using crm 2011 in outlook and they single-click a contact to select it and a new email opens with the email address populated.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks,
Henry
Many views have embedded hyperlinks. I suspect that the user is clicking on the hyperlink instead of the line they want to select.
Show the user the hyperlinks in a view, then show them the other items and the difference in clicking.

We had the same thought and so one of our helpdesk people watched the user do it.
They clicked on the name of the contact just like they would normally to select it and instead a new email popped up.
Hi Henry,
Do they by chance have any third party addins in Outlook that may add this functionality?
Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities,

Hi,
Looks like there was a bit of confusion internally here. The issue is slightly different from what I said in my original post.
The issue is that when clicking on 'Contacts' in the left-hand sidebar in outlook it opens a new email. The new email is addressed to someone who was emailed previously but not a crm contact.
This appears to happen once per outlook session.
Is this happening for all users, or just one?
This is indeed a mystery.
Have you performed any customizations to the Left Navigation area via the SiteMap? Only thing I can think of is that someone added some type of script to this button... But if that's true, it would occur everytime the user clicked that left nav button...
