I downloaded the outlook client, however it will not connect to my CRM 2011 server. During the initializing phase it stops half way through and never finishes the configuration process.
I've encountered this problem on many machines, which most of them finally worked after uninstalling and reinstalling the outlook client a few times. I'm not sure how or why those machines finally connected to the server, but a couple of them still will not.
The process I've taken is downloading & installing the outlook client software; restarting the computer; then trying to configure the outlook client. When it fails, I uninstall the software; restart the computer; then try the process again.
Again, this has solved itself for most computers in the past except for the few that still remain.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Or know of anything that may help?
Hi guys, thanks your the replies. I actually logged myself in first (as an administrator) which successfully completed the configuration process (it didn't freeze or give me any errors). Then I logged out and let the user log into his CRM via outlook, and it synced correctly. Not sure how or why it worked that way but it did.

Try thisthing once:
Goto control panel-> user accounts-> Manage your credential-> Add a windows credentials-> Give your CRM server as target address and put valid credentials to connect CRM...
