A colleague of mine sent this email:
"We use a secondary email account for some of our communication with Accounts and Contacts - firstname.lastname@example.org.
We cannot track emails that have been previously sent, i.e., are in the 'Sent Items' into CRM. I get the Track feature in the header of a new email from that email account. Why can’t I retroactively track a Sent email from there like I can from my email account"?
I assume this is because that secondary email account is not synched with the CRM organization. Any ideas on how to track those items?
You can only track emails from your primary email account in outlook.
You can drag emails from your secondary email box to your primary and then track from there - or you could set up a rule to copy them over automatically - http://www.harris-tech.com/blogs/bid/69745/Using-MS-CRM-with-Multiple-Email-Accounts

You can always use 3rd party email tracking services. I've used Spypig and Readnotify in the past and new companies like ContactMonkey offer email tracking for Outlook. Pretty easy to setup. Hope this helps.
