In CRM 2011 can I set regarding an email and attach it to two different (or more) opportunities?
I don't think I can but it seems like the system should allow this.
Thanks,
outlook client can regard only one opportunity.
But as an solution you can copy email at outlook and regard to an other opportunity.
Hi Grant,
You cannot set the regarding to more than one record. But in CRM 2011 you can make use of Connections to associate the email with more than one records.

Hi Sam,
Could you elaborate the "Set Regarding" multiple records using the Connections please. For example, associate an email with multiple accounts.
Thanks.
Hi,
Our company also has the issue of wanting to link emails to mutlple entities, using the Set Regarding functionality in Outlook.
To get around this we developed functionality to allow users to 'Connect to Multiple', which means they have to open the email in CRM, and then can choose to connect to multiple entities.
The problem is, if a mail is 'Set Regarding' to one Account, and then connection are created to 3 other Accounts, any subsequent reply or forward on the tracked mail will not be tracked against the entities where there is a Connection, only against the entity that was 'Set Regarding'.
We need the mail, and its responses, to be tracked against all the entities selected.
Is there any way to raise a request with MS Dynamics to see if the functionality of 'Set Regarding' can be amended to choose multiple entities?

Hi Roniet, you can raise your CRM product suggestions on the Microsoft Connect site: http://connect.microsoft.com.
I created a similar feature to enable users to track an e-mail message against multiple funds (a custom entity), but it the 200 users only used the feature six times in the first year because finding and selecting multiple fund records wasn't worth the clicks it took.

Hi Neil,
Thanks for your response, I posted the suggestion on the site provided.
Can I ask, how did you manage to enable users to track an email message against multiple entities?
Thanks
