I have created a workflow that executes when an opportunity is re-assigned (when the "assigned to" field is updated). the workflow and email body was created successfully and activated. when testing, after re-assigning an opp in "settings-->system --> system jobs" I can see that the workflow was successfullly executed, however when i click for more details I can see that the email action was actually not sent out.
i have gone to each users profile and "approved email" for each user, however this is still not triggering the email to be sent. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
The first place where I like to start when troubleshooting this type of issue is to remove the Worklfow component.
If you go to the record can you send out an email using the Send Email function? If not then you have a mail permission or router issue. Once you solve this then you can test the workflow again. It is likely not to be a Workflow issue.

thanks for your timely response, it was extremely helpful!
i removed the workflow component and tried to simply send an email from Dynamics using the outlook version.
The email is tracked in the CRM to the approriate company as an activity, however the recipient did not receive an email, and it is not in my sent items. In the details of my previous post, the image displays the same error message that I am receiving.....
so I do believe it is a mail permission issue. Can you please point me into the right direction to solve this? is this something that I have to change at the user level? in the role permissions?
