    Load Report Failed

I am looking for a resolution for this error when running a crystal report in Dynamics SL v7.0.

This error appears only on the citrix server, for some of the users not all of them.  All users have the same rights and permissions.  The error does not appear when the users run reports on the Dynamics SL server.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Sandyf

This is a crystal reports error that is caused by the fact you don't have a C: drive in a citrix environment. The below explains the issue and outlines a crystal reports configuration change that can be made to fix this.

If you do not have permission to edit the registry on the citrix envirnonment you may need to get IT to help out.

    Re: Load Report Failed

If this is anything like the issue we have had on Windows terminal server, you might want to check this out.

When new people log into the terminal server for the first time, they are unable to print anything from SL.  An admin will go into a old user's profile in the Documents and Setting Directory into the Windows folder and copy the Crytal folder in that directory.  Now go into the new user's profile in the Windows folder and you'll note the the Crystal folder is not there, paste, and viola problem solved.  Have user log out and back in to the server.

Don't know if this will help, but, its worth a look.

Thank you for your help.  Our situation it was only our citrix users getting the load report failed.  I found this suggestion and it solved the problem, as we did not have a c:\temp directory on our citrix server. This is how I resolved our situation: It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files (System.dat and User.dat on Win9x computers) before you edit the registry.
    ====================

    1. On the 'Start' menu, click 'Run'.

    2. In the 'Run' dialog box, type "Regedit" then click 'OK'.

    3. In the Registry Editor browse to the following subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Report Application Server\InprocServer\LocalConnectionMgr

    4. Right-click the 'ConnectionDirectoryPath' string value, then click 'Modify'.

    5. In the 'Value data' text box, change "c:\" to the drive letter where the following directory exists (You may need to search your computer to find where this directory exists):

    \Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\bin

    Click 'OK'.

    6. Right-click the 'LocalConnectionMgr' subkey, click 'New' then click 'String Value'.

    7. Name this String Value "ReportDirectoryPath".

    8. Right-click the 'ReportDirectoryPath' string value and click 'Modify'.

9 In the 'Value data' text box, type the same drive letter as you typed in step 5.

    NOTE:

After making changes to the registry, restart the affected service or application as required.
