Hi, I'm James... and Very, VERY new.

basically, Ive been handed a copy of CRM 4.0 (I've never used it before) a few days ago.

and now i have to set it up for my whole organization to use.

Ive got through the install i one piece (just) and trying to decide on ether the web based, or outlook versions are best for us. if anyone has any pointer for setting this up it would be most helpfully.

so I'm sorry for any stupid, unbelievably easy questions in advance

    Thanks

    James

    Hi James

Welcome to the community and welcome to the world of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. In terms of which option to choose for your users most people prefer using the Outlook integrated option. Sales and marketing folks are typically already running Outlook and it is a very natural extension of their current processes. Also you can actually use both. You can use Outlook most of the time and then drop back to the web client if you are on a different machine than usual or remote.

hope this helps and feel free to share your experiences on what you chose to do back on the community.
