Automating Posting Process

  Re: Automating Posting Process Reply Contact Unfortunately, Farooque, there is no database-level means outside of the GP interface to automate sales or purchasing posting.  This has been requested of Microsoft many times, but it would be a very difficult endeavor to undergo, and Microsoft has had to put other priorities first. However, you can create a Dexterity custom that monitors for a certain batch to post, or certain other conditions, and can automate posting via the interface.  The disadvantage to this is: A session of GP must be running If any error happens during posting, that unmonitored session will hang up and posting will stop.   Re: Automating Posting Process Reply Contact Hi, Have a module that has been developed that automates the posting of Great Plains batches with no manual intervention. This is ideal for all organisations that have batches within their system that require regular posting. Posting batches automatically ensures that all transactions are reflected in the Great Plains General Ledger without delay. This includes posing for series GL,RM, PM, IV SOP & POP. A batch prefix can be specified so that only certain batches are posted. Provides the option to fetch and post all batches itself. Allows standard Great Plains batches to be posted without requiring users to post the batch. Contact me if interested.
