Business Portal - Installation woes

    Business Portal - Installation woes

     Hello everyone,

    I am installing Business Portal on a server already providing Analysis Services. There are no performance issues since the server is well below 50% usage at any point.

    I installed all the prerequisites as the installation guide indicates, but when I start the installation a smaller setup window pops up installing something for Crystal Reports. The progress bar advances (albeit slowly) and when 0 seconds are left for completion it hangs indefinitely! I tried logging everyone out, disabling Analysis Services and running the installation again but got the same result.

    There is nothing on the KBs regarding this issue... Can anyone give me a hand with this?

    Hi Nelson - I spent some time today researching this issue in our internal support tools. I was unable to find any other incidents that looked similar. This indicates this is not a common issue. Given this it would appear to be something specific to your environment. I think you will need to log a support incident with our support team and work through resolving this.

    Hi Craig,

     Thanks for your response. I got around the issue by installing Business Portal without any additional modules, but I will of course have to look for a solution for this since our clients are entitled to all of them. Even though I completed the installation I cannot acces the GP data from BP... All I get is:

    BP Image

    And as you can see there is no GP data available. Was there something I missed that could have caused this?
