    Database field sizes

Please can someone advise the best place to post help questions, would it be here or on the RMS Forum.

I have  two small problems, firstly Can the Matrix Description field size be increased to 40/60 chars at present too small.
or is there a bigger field i can use eg the extended description.

I need a way that when a saleperson inputs a special order on at the POS the item needs to be ordered from our supplier with the following information automatically passed to the purchased order system, for the supplier.
1, supplier Ref number for item.
2, Supplier Colour (four suppliers have 56 colours each)
    3, Size of Dress etc
    4, delivery date required
5, Order confirmation date and number from supplier
6, Brides Name and Wedding date.
    Any help would be great.

    Regards
    Ray Williams

    Hi Ray -

As per my previous post, your best place to post "how to" questions is at http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/Community/NewsgroupLanding.aspx. You'll find others in the community who may have suggestions that will be beneficial.

Your best bet for the description field is the Extended Description. The Description field has a maximum of 30 characters.

RMS does not support special orders. You may want to consult with your partner on an ISV add-in that will support the requirement.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
