Is there any tool to default sales accounts in sales trx?

    Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any third party tools that would allow sales account to default for different types of transactions? There are segments in the COA that represents the type of trx i.e. foreign, local, project etc. They would like the accounts to default based on the type of transaction they are doing.

Is there any third party tool that may do this?

     Regards

One of the most commonly used 3rd party solutions for this is from eOne solutions:

If that didn't do the trick, this certainly could be done via customization to Great Plains.  We have done something similar 3 or 4 times now.

     Good luck.

We did this in my previous job and Tectura created a tool which was all Stored Procedures. The SP looks at the customer class(but can depend based on the setup) then updates the segment (can also be setup).

I haven't seen any 3rd-party that do this.
