    Deletion of Solomon User

Have been trying to delete a user in Solomon 7.0, but seem to get a SQL server message stating:

    Name cannot be NULL

I can't find any documentation regarding this error on TechKnowledge.  Is this something that cannot be done.  I am not sure if this would be against Database practices regarding referential integrity.  Although if so I would think the error message would be more informative.  Has anyone had any luck with this?

If you are using Windows Authentication on a database you have upgraded from a previous version, you will need to go into User Maintenance and assign a unique windows user id with domain for the user, tab through the field, and then it should let you delete that user.  You may have to save as well.

    Re: Deletion of Solomon User

Thanks for the reply.  That makes sense.  The issue that I am having with it though is that when you go to assign these users with a unique Windows User ID and domain, it has to be unique to that Solomon Userid.  These are users who do not exist any more in the company, so they do not exist in Active Directory.  Is there any other way around this, besides the obvious of adding these users back to AD, delete the user in Solomon, and then delete the AD user again.

NVM,  I got it.  I just assigned a valid AD user other than one that exists in Solomon and it worked.  Again thanks for the help.
