Import GL Journals using CSV file

    Hi,

Is it possible to import GL Journals into Great Plains using a standard CSV file?

If so, what format does the CSV file have to be in?

    thanks for your help,

Yes it's possible. The preferred method is to use Integration Manager, a separate GP app. The format of the CSV file is less important because with IM you map the CSV fields to the appropriate GP fields.

There are some other options but none of them are as simple or straightforward as IM.

You can also use eConnect or DTS but the simplest would be Integration manager. You can do both Manual or Automated imports through Integration manager

Hello, oztex.  Generally, you need to use Integration Manager (IM) to import a file of this type.  There are different licensing levels for IM.  THe most basic is IM for financials, which would suffice in your case.  Check with your VAR on pricing.
