Report Builder: cannot see all fields from tables

Can anyone please show me how to configure Report Builder so that it can see all fields from tables, including customized tables??

    Thank you.

Hi, There are nice documents in Partnersource as well as MSDN which tells you how to configure RS. For customized tables, you need to add the table to the related perspective. Also for the fields in the new table, you need to set the AnalysisVisibility & AnalysisTotalling properties.

    Hi ming2008,

I faced the same problem, first time I tried to use the .

but all the fields are there trust me - I assume that you choose the right table.

    Here the IMPORTANT thing,

There is a CheckBox at the beginning of the wizard said "Do you like to show the real name of the table and fields" or something like that- actually I don't remember exactly since I don't have DAX right now).

Then when you click next you will see the real name of the tables and fields, and hopefully you will find your missed field.

In fact, the default representation of the fields in  Report Builder is the label, so some time the name is completly differnt that why (as I think) you can't find the field.

I hope this is the case and I helped you to solve your problem.

     Hi,

     I get to Dynamics Ax,

I was talking about Report Wizard, It is a perfect tool, try to use it.

from Tools => Development tools => Wizards => Repoert Wizards.

I think this can help you.

    Hi Arijit,

I did try changing the visibility and totaling properties but I couldn't get it to work. The default settings for AnalysisVisibility is Auto, and AnalysisTotaling is Default. I changed the Visibility to High, Totaling to All, and then Update Models. However, I still can't see all fields.

What settings do I have to set? Can you also send me the link to the document you referenced?

    Hi Mohammad,

Report Wizard is great but I am trying to set up Report Builder so that not only developers can use it but also some regular users.  Thank you.
