Installing Business Analytics with Navision 4 SP3 and SQL Server 2005

    Hi,

I am facing a very peculiar problem for installing Business Analytics with Navision 4 SP3 and SQL Server 2005.

The database is on SQL Server 2005. During the execution of the BAConfigurator2005, when creating the SSIS package, it gives the message "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name index"

The size of the database is around 2-3 GB and the transaction log file grows upto more than 15 GB.

I have downloaded the latest BA configurator for 2005. The same is working perfectly with the standard cronus database. But not working with the client database. All the required SQL Services are also started.

Is there any limitation to database size for the connectivity?

Please guide me for the same.

    Regards,
    RM

    R.M.,

Bruce here from the Microsoft Dynamics team and there is a video answer to your question available. Zeeshan from the Support team was onsite at the show and was able to answer the question you asked.

You can see the video at:

Your answer is about 45 seconds into the video.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi RM,

As discussed in the video please download the latest BA configurator from the following partner source link (you will have to be a partner to access partner source):

     https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/downloads/releases/nav40ba.htm?printpage=false

Also download the technical whitepaper to check the requirement.

Once all is set then review the KB article 940678 -

How to create a simple test cube to test the Business Analytics configurator in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0

No to your specific error. I have looked into it and it seems you might be using the wrong version of cfront.dll. Please delete the cfront.dll from the configurator folder and the Common folder. Then copy the cfront.dll which matches the build of the NAV client. Usually you will find it on the product CD's DSK folder. Please do a search on it.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

    Zeeshan Mehdi
