Upgrade: CRM 3.0 > CRM 4.0 - with the data migration?

I need to upgrade from the CRM 3.0 to the CRM 4.0. The current server (hardware) where 3.0 is getting old and since it is the only server where the AD, SQL, Exchange and CRM 3.0 is I need to replace it with the new box with CRM 4 on it.

The old one is being scrapped. Is there any documentation on how to install a new server with a new CRM 4.0 (and AD, SQL & Exchange) on it, and just replace the old server with the new one so that it is seamless to the end users (so with all the data from AD, CRM/SQL and Exchange migrated) please?

The implementation guide is a good start: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=1ceb5e01-de9f-48c0-8ce2-51633ebf4714&DisplayLang=en This takes you some of the way there. The rest you should be able to piece together from the forum posts and Google. The short version is you need to upgrade the database by upgrading CRM. If the box it is currently on will not support v4, you will either need to install v3 on the new box or create an 'intermediate' box to install v3, redeploy the DB and upgrade to 4 so it can be added to the new server running v4. If your users are running the Outlook client this will also have to be replaced. Leon Tribe
