  How to claim a POS printer when attached to a cash drawer? Reply Contact I have developed a program that writes to a POS printer such as an Epson TM-T88IV outside of RMS POS. This works fine for me whether or not POS is actually running. However this fails for a client of mine whenever he tries to use my printing routine if POS is already active. I believe I have traced the cause of this down to my client having his cash drawer attached to the POS printer itself so whenever RMS POS starts the printer is effectively already claimed as it is 'in use by' the cash drawer and vice versa. Does anybody know of a solution for this, please?

I could never rsolve the issue so I stayed with the Star TSP 643D and now the TSP654U and found no problems sharing the POS printer with the Store Operation manager or other programs.   Paul H Eastern National
