    v4.0 - Workflow execution by non-publishing author

    Hi,

Within CRM v4.0 I have setup a workflow where an entity is being created when the opportunity status is set to "Won". I've tested this and it works well. However, when any other user changes the opportunity status to "Won", this workflow does not get kicked off, and therefore the entity is not created.

I've given a different user every conceivable role, and still it won't execute. I've shared it with a team, and added all users to the team, and still it won't execute. It only seems to execute for the publisher.

Does anyone have any ideas how to make this workflow run for any user? Any ideas would be greatfully received.

    Kind regards,

    Simon

We've all been tripped up by this one at least once I think. Welcome to the club, we have jackets. You need to make the workflow 'Organization' scope, not 'User' ;) Leon Tribe

This is not my post, but I was wondering where "scope" had impact...

I think I shall make all of my Workflows Scope= Org. The default is User, however.

How much is the jacket? Shall I design a fez for the club members? ;^)

That's sorted it straight away. I could have been looking at this for a week and not seen that.

Thanks so much for the help Leon, sign me up for one of those jackets....

    Kind regards,

    Simon
