    Quick Campaign - General questions

     Hello,

I have some (hopefully) simply Questions concerning the Quick Campaign function in CRM 4.0.

We created a Marketing List containing 500 contacts and afterwards a Quick Campaign to mail some invitations to those members:

    Now my questions:

We are collecting the responses and add them manually (through a Workflow) to the Campaign Responses Section.

1.) Now we have the list containing the "Interested" and "not interested" contacts, but how do i show the contacts which did not respond yet in the same list? So i wish a list with all Marketing list members where i see contact name, owner of the contact, Reponse Code (with the 3 differents codes: Interested, Not Interested, Not Responded).

2.) I also would like to create some reports but in the selection which data should be used the Quick Campaign is not showing up, i just can add fields of "Campaign" to the Report, but when i type in the name of my Quick Campaign the report cannot find the data. Does this mean that reports on Quick Campaign is very limited or do i make something wrong?

3.)  Also in the "Advanced Find" section there is not the possibility to Filter after "Quick Campaign" fields, why not?

    Thanks for every hint!

Re: Quick Campaign - General questions

To make a long story short:

I wouldn't make use of quick campaigns but of the "real" campaigns, due to a number of reasons:

    - you can use the mail merge function from Word to create emails or letter

    - you can embed CRM data and thus personalize your emails or letters

    - your layout and design looks better

    - as you already figured out, you can't use neither the advanced find nor the report wizard to query for quick campaigns:

Well, at least you can query for campaing responses in advanced find -> (Parent Campaign contains "Your quick campaign name")

     OK, thanks for the hint!

Is there any fast possibility to copy my answers i created by a Workflow from the Quick Campaign to the new Campaign i would create?

I understand that creating the responses manually again via the CRM is very timeconsuming. There is not a supported way, I presume, maybe you could do this in the database directly, although it is not supported (change the guid!). I have not done this for campaings yet and it is a little bit risky, so backup you database before.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Quick Campaign - General questions

     Hi,

Again thanks for this quick answer.

But is it somehow guaranteed that i can do then that what i intent to do:

Showing those people in a list which have responded and also those who have not responded yet? Because i do not want to start something and then come to the conclusion that is also not possible in the "Campaign" mode.

So i would start somehow like this:

Create a Campaign -> move the responses from the quick campaign to the campaign and then? I think that i have the same Responses view in both. How can i join those two views (responses + unanswered) in one view?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Quick Campaign - General questions

In a campaign you do not only have the responses but also the activities who are created when you distribute the campaign activity (e.g. email) and as you can query in the advanced find for a campaign, campaign responses and the regarding object in the created activities, you got all you need to check the delta from activities created and respsonses to this activities. And "no" it is not guaranteed that this works as it is not supported. Why don't you try it for an example quick campaign?
