    Exchange and Dynamics CRM Sync

The structure of my enterprise system contains:

    • Windows 2003 Server Enterprise R2
    • Exchange 2003
    • Dynamics CRM 4.0 (with working e-mail router)
    • Office 2007

I would like to know if anyone has information on how to sync the contacts and calendars between Exchange data and CRM data. I have the need to use exchange on mobile and my users need to have the informations in real time without the need to use the "CRM for Outlook plug-in".

Thanks in advance for the replies

Have you read this blog entry http://blogs.msdn.com/crm/archive/2006/11/08/microsoft-dynamics-crm-for-the-exchange-administrator.aspx

Basically the default sync functionality is provided by the Outlook client software so you will not be able to do what you need natively. It is possible there may be a third party product that provides server side contact sync but I have not personally seen one.

     thanks

I'm also looking for a solution to Sync Calendar information without the outlook client running. It is a problem when an executive is on vacation and their assistants are trying to check their Outlook calendars for availability. It seems that there should be an option for syncing between exchange(rather then outlook) & CRM or An option to outlook sync more than just your own calendar (Ex. sync with other team members or business unit members).
