8 Nov 2012 7:10 AM When using Order Management in Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or Dynamics GP 2010, you may have noticed an anomoly in regards to the Available Quantity. I.e. Within Business Portal | Order Entry | Item Categories | the incorrect Quantity Available is showing to customers entering orders. We've found known-issues with both Business Portal (4.0) for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 and Business Portal 5.x for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 causing this to occur: In Business Portal (4.0) for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, when using a Price Level that consists of multiple U of M, the correct Quantity Available is shown for each of U of M in Order Management | Item Categories. However, if you change to a Price Level where there is only one U of M, the Quantity Available shows the base U of M, even though you may be using a different U of M than the base. In Business Portal 5.x for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, Order Management always uses the base U of M, regardless of which U of M is being used. The cause of both of these issues is the Microsoft.GreatPlains.Web.OrderManagement.dll file. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. The only work-around currently is for Business Portal 5.0 for Dynamics GP 2010, which is to download the fixed Microsoft.GreatPlains.Web.OrderManagement.dll file from the following link and replace the orginal file located in the Business Portal's home directory BIN folder (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\##\Bin\ ) https://mbs2.microsoft.com/fileexchange/?fileID=bb0d3a40-f4d2-47e2-b418-49238478f338 Note: If you're not sure of the home directory for Business Portal, you can verify it in IIS Manager by right-clicking on the site that Business Portal is installed onto, choosing Manage Web Site | Advanced Settings, and looking at the Physical Path.Unfortunately, there is no work-around fix for Business Portal (4.0) for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or for Business Portal 5.1 for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 at this time.
