&lt;p&gt;Most of my end users know to go to the test system to run check links and reconcile and if they get any type of error messages then we get together to determine what to do next, depending on the exact error and module.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Of course that means you have to keep at least one of your test systems updated on a regular basis. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, once you have your test system setup I have an earlier post on updating it and letting the users know their new passwords. It even has the script to do it for you. All you have to do is execute the script (after a few modifications) after each database restore.&lt;/p&gt;
