Hello Everyone,
Is there a way to set the value for MagnifyScreenOutput in DEX.ini and not allow any GP user to change it. We want to use 150% as the persistent default but as we all know, when another user changes a GP report magnification to 100 or 200%, the dex.ini value gets changed as well. We want to maintain the 150% setting.
Any input will be very much appreciated.

No, unless you want to 'lock' down the DEX.ini file. DON'T do that, it creates problems.

The main issue is a lot of the module are expecting to be able to write info to the dex.ini file. If this file is locked then it will fail, and not all 3rd party products have perfect error coding. Some can crash.
There is a solution if you are on version 10 or 2010 and have Support Debugging Tools.This is a free tool available from your partner only. (V16 is the latest)
There is an advance feature that will alow the over-write of a dex setting on login, this will change the value back to what you want.
Support Debugging tool is the best, but have an experienced person work with it, it has many power full features and with anything power full can cause issues if not completed correctly.
Like I mentioed before, it is free from your partner so they should be able to install and configure it for you.(At a cost or not if you are lucky :-) )
