Hi, I am trying to create a new company using GP utilities, Every thing goes well but at the last step which is "Creating a company", the process stops there and after some time I got a error "Microsoft Dynamics GP stopped working and needs to close". Although company's database gets created on the server but abnormally terminating the process means there is something wrong. Does anybody know why is this so?
Are you running GP Utilities on the server? Is so, try running the Clear Companies script to make sure there are no leftover records in DYNAMICS database when it comes to companies. You can obtain this script here. Delete the company database that did get created but not added to GP.
