Hi, when we enter timesheet via Busniess Portal 5.0, everything was fine until if we try to select different Paycode, BP gave titled error. Anyone can help? or it is bug of  BP?

Please help!

Thanks!

  • Does this happen as the BP Admin? If not you probably don't have security setup for this user.

  • Hi Wei,

It appears that "Department" is empty in your screenshot.  Is that true?  What version of Dynamics GP and Business Portal are you using?

We saw a similar issue for Dynamics GP 2010 and Business Portal 5.0, and a hot fix was released to address this.  You could contact support for this specific hot fix or check out this link to see if it fits your needs:  mbs.microsoft.com/.../mdgp2010_bp50sdk.htm

    Thanks

  • Hi Bob,

Yes, it is GP2010 and BP 5.0

I will try to put Department when change paycode... I just do not reliaze the Department is mandatory for changing paycode...

Anyhow, looks like we do need the hotfix in any ways....

    Thanks a Lot!

  • Wei,

Yes, I believe you need the hot fix.  Even though you didn't modify anything Department related, the hot fix is still necessary to address the issue.

    Thanks

  • Hi Rob,

I tried the link in your post, looks like it is BP SDK, not hot fix. do you have specified hot fix link for this issue? or we need to use that SDK to fix the issue? I never use SDK before...

    Thanks!

    Wei

  • Wei,

I think you should contact support and ask them about the hot fix for this issue.  You don't need the SDK.

    Thanks
