Total Quantity Sold

This question is not answered

Can anyone please tell me where I can find the total quantity sold of an item? I found info in receipts but it goes invoice by invoice. I am looking for a total for the life of the product. Thanks!

  • There is no table that stores a total quantity sold for an item.  You'll have to summarize all the transactions to get that number.  Try the IV10201 table.  -Trevor

  • This is held at both a summary and per site level in the IV00102 table.  Where Record Type = 0 you get a summary, where Record Type = 1 you will get by site (pretty sure, not looking at my system).

If you open the Item Inquiry window you will see this displayed in the Sold field.  This window reads that value from the IV00102 table.  I believe you can re-build these values through the Inventory Reconcile but I have not ever had to do that.  Available on quite a few Smartlists also though you have to add the field.

  • Tim, that one gets reset when the year end close is run.  Jason was asking for a life-to-date field.  Still relevant, though, in case Jason wasn't quantifying the need well.  -Trevor

  • You are correct, as we just have service items in GP I've actually never closed the module so mine are LTD by luck not by process.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • HI Tim, et al,

Visit Victoria Yudin's site, she has a view that will give you inventory quantities sold by item by year. And, of course the Grand total.

I think you could easily modify this to get what you need. Victoria is awesome, there are so many goodies on her site. Check it out:
