how to setup the role to the employee in business portal

Could you provide more information?  If you'd like to give a user access to Business Portal, BP 4.0 and greater require you to add them to a SharePoint group (BP Employee for example) and MBF roles (Employee).  Either require you to go to Site Actions > Site Settings.  Go to People and Groups for assigning SharePoint groups and choose Users under Business Portal Administration to assign the MBF role.
