Manufacturing Order Variance - Labor Procution Costs = 0

This question has suggested answer(s)

I am having an issue that I think should be very simple, but is not proving so for me.

I have a BOM with a routing sequence.  In the routing sequence, I have some labor time, a labor code with a shop rate.

When I create a manufacturing order for that BOM, I open up the Manufacturing Order variance window my Labor hours and Labor cost show zero under the Production Costs column.

What step am I missing?

Here is my routing

Here is the order variance

  • I Just solved my own problem.  In Manufacturing - setup - WIP Preferences, the Cost bucket used for outsourcing costs was set to "Labor" and was overriding my Labor to zero.  Changed it to "Maching Variable Overhead" and now all is well.
