Dynamics GP E-Learning

This question is answered

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently looking to become a Dynamics GP Reseller.  I've taken a look at the necessary exams to pass (MB-859, MB3-861), but I'm having some trouble finding a place that offers E-Learning on these exams.  Can anyone give me a push in the right direction?

  • I believe you can purchase them even if not a reseller or customer but I'm not 100% sure about that.  Worth a look though.

  • JKatulka,

If your not a reseller or a customer on a active service plan you can purchase e-learning courses for Microsoft Dynamics GP here: learning.microsoft.com/.../BrowseCatalog.aspx

Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Have you looked at the E learning courses available on PartnerSource/CustomerSource?

  • Thank you for the response Frank.  I was under the impression that you needed to be a reseller or a customer who owns the product in order to access these resources, but I will take a look.  Thanks again.

  • Thanks a lot Frank/Nick for the suggestions.  I had actually come across the site mentioned by Nick above, and found the courses that were listed under 'Preparation Material' on the Dynamics page (which displayed the necessary courses for becoming a reseller for each product).  These courses, or 'collections' as they are called on the E-learning site, do not have an 'E" suffix on their course ID (as they do on the 'Preparation Material' page), but they do seem to contain the materials that are covered on the certification test.

    Thanks again everyone.

  • This may be a silly question, but here it goes:

I'm reviewing the 'Enterprise Resource Planning Competency Requirements' on the Microsoft Partner site and as I'm looking through the requirements (for the silver competency), I can see that, in addition to the passing of the necessary tests, some of the listed requirements ( ex: Deliver a product or application that has passed the Software Solutions Test) would mean that I have already resold the software to a client and created software for them that integrates with it wouldn't it?

Is the 'Enterprise Resource Planning Competency' more than I need to be a reseller of the program?  I am hoping to receive an 'internal' copy of GP and download the tools to familiarize myself with them in anticipation of reselling the program to clients and providing them with customizations/integrated applications.

Am I understanding this correctly?  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
