When the editors of the ERP Software Blog approached us asking for contributions to their new whitepaper, “25 Brilliant Ideas to Outsmart Your Competition with Microsoft Dynamics® ERP,” I knew that I wanted to share stories of solutions we had developed for our clients that not only were great ideas, but had delivered great results.  That’s why we knew we wanted to share the story of a merchandising display distributor who needed to find a way to drop ship displays to a rapidly growing customer base.

We worked with them to include an exploding “Master Order” feature to their Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution.  Now, when a large customer places a single order that needs to be shipped to thousands of locations, the distributor creates a “Master Order” which the system explodes out into multiple sub-orders so the shipping department can process drop/direct shipments to each of the individual store locations.

This solutions has enabled this client to process over 25,000 orders per month and save $1,000,000 in just the first year of deployment, all while continuing to grow their business by 50%!
